LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC upon the occa-
sion of its designation as recipient of the Circle of Humanity Award by
Temple Israel on May 19, 2016

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those businesses within our midst who have
made significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of certain
extraordinary individuals and businesses it wishes to recognize for
their valued contributions to the success and progress of society and
publicly acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic
humanity among us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Hugh Johnson
Advisors LLC upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of the
Circle of Humanity Award by Temple Israel on Thursday, May 19, 2016, in
Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, The establishment of this unique award was inspired by the
passion and enthusiasm of a movement in the Capital District to embrace
the best of the human spirit in us all; the Circle of Humanity Award
represents our recognition of those who demonstrate what can be accom-
plished within each person's heart and soul; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious award is given to those who have shown cour-
age and initiative to reach out, together, to create an atmosphere that
is at once positive, exciting and contagious, truly devoting themselves
to making a positive difference in the local community and beyond; and
WHEREAS, Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC is a registered investment advisor
with responsibility for more than one billion dollars in managed assets
and more than one billion dollars in consulting assets; the company is
small enough to have a strong local presence and large enough to have a
global perspective; and
WHEREAS, Remaining true to its mission, Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC
believes in managing wealth based on a clearly articulated set of objec-
tives whether representing an individual or institutional client; this
vital organization believes it to be their responsibility to help estab-
lish clear and achievable wealth accumulation goals, managing assets to
provide the best opportunity to meet these goals; and
WHEREAS, An employee owned firm with roots back to 1994, Hugh Johnson
Advisors LLC was founded as First Albany Asset Management; part of the
Capital District community for more than 20 years, this successful grow-
ing business has been instrumental in advancing the missions of its
non-profits who so ably serve the many needs of the community; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals and businesses of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought
to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the
citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Circle of Humanity Award by Temple Israel on May 19,
2016; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Hugh Johnson Advisors LLC.
