LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Michael Endler upon the occasion of
his designation for special recognition as President of the Board of
Trustees of the Woodland Hill Montessori School

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Michael Endler has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Michael
Endler upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition as
President of the Board of Trustees of the Woodland Hill Montessori
School, in conjunction with the School's 50th Anniversary, to be cele-
brated at a Gala on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 90 State Events, Albany,
New York; and
WHEREAS, A cum laude graduate, Michael Endler earned a Bachelor's
degree in both Political Science and Communications; he then went on to
obtain his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center,
Washington, D.C.; and
WHEREAS, Michael Endler holds the position of Partner in the law firm
of Boies, Schiller & Flexner, Albany, New York; he specializes in
complex commercial litigation in a variety of contexts, such as anti-
trust, securities, banking, energy and insurance; and
WHEREAS, Since 2007, Michael Endler has served as President of the
Woodland Hill Montessori School Board of Trustees; under his luminous
leadership, he oversaw the addition of an 11,000 square foot gymnasium
and a cultural arts wing; in addition, the school's enrollment has
increased from 218 students in 2007, to 290 students today; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his two children, Kit and
Jeffrey, both of whom attend the Woodland Hill Montessori School, who
feel privileged to be a part of his life and rejoice in his achieve-
ments; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Michael Endler has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of his duties, Michael Endler's
ongoing endeavors and notable achievements have significantly contrib-
uted to bettering the quality of life in his community; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Michael Endler upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition as President of the Board of Trustees of the Woodland Hill
Montessori School; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Michael Endler.
