LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Melrose Court Condominium Corpo-
ration for its ceaseless dedication in providing the first mixed-income
homeownership housing in the Melrose Commons area

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those busi-
nesses and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Melrose Court Condominium Corporation for its ceaseless dedication
in providing the first mixed-income homeownership housing in the Melrose
Commons area; and
WHEREAS, The Melrose Court Condominiums promote a strong sense of
community while providing affordable housing; and
WHEREAS, With a goal to help change the vision of the South Bronx into
one of resettlement, reinvestment, and hope, the Melrose Court Condomin-
iums have provided a level of security and privacy to its residents,
reducing local crime and reviving the community; and
WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history, Melrose Court Condominium
Corporation has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and
communities which it serves; and
WHEREAS, The success of Melrose Court Condominium Corporation is in
direct correlation to the efforts of its staff, whose involvement is,
and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the business and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Melrose Court Condomin-
ium Corporation; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when businesses
of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention,
they should be recognized and applauded by all the citizens of this
great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Melrose Court Condominium Corporation for its ceaseless
dedication in providing the first mixed-income homeownership housing in
the Melrose Commons area; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Melrose Court Condominium Corporation, Bronx, New York.
