COMMENDING The Reverend KC Jones upon the occasion
of her designation for special recognition by the
National Action Network, West Nassau Chapter on
March 26, 2017

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend The
Reverend KC Jones upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the National Action Network, West Nassau Chapter to be
celebrated at its Dreams of Greatness Gala on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at
Westbury Manor in Westbury, New York; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious award is given to individuals who have
demonstrated exemplary work, services, and commitment to the people of
their communities; The Reverend KC Jones deserves this honor for her
contributions to her neighborhood; and

WHEREAS, The West Nassau Chapter, under the able leadership of
District Chairperson, Pastor Emmanuel Asse, continues the mission of NAN
which fulfills a vital role in moving our Nation forward; and

WHEREAS, The Reverend KC Jones serves as the Senior Pastor of Valley
Stream Presbyterian Church in Valley Stream, New York; in this capacity,
she is loving and nurturing to both her parishioners and to those who
have come to work under her leadership in ministry; and

WHEREAS, The Reverend KC Jones is also the founder of the Community
Healing and Caring Center Inc., a non-profit organization focused on
family cohesion, community building and restoration; the W.A.N.T.E.D.
Project, a mentoring program for young men 12-18 years old, is
flourishing in many New York communities; and

WHEREAS, In addition, this remarkable woman is the Principal of
Restored Life!, where she coaches individuals and groups in the areas of
spirituality, goal setting, emotional health and wellness, leadership,
and marriage; through her coaching practice, she offers a personalized
regimen of counseling, guidance, spiritual discipline techniques and
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT - Tapping) that are rarely found in
other forms of coaching; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend The Reverend KC Jones upon the occasion of her designation for

special recognition by the National Action Network, West Nassau Chapter;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to The Reverend KC Jones.
