HONORING Robert and Victoria Minowitz upon the
occasion of their designation for special
recognition by North Country Reform Temple on May 6,
2017

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Robert and Victoria Minowitz have given not only of their
time and energies but also of their competence, intelligence and
leadership and consequently have been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Robert and
Victoria Minowitz upon the occasion of their designation for special
recognition by North Country Reform Temple, to be celebrated at its
Biennial Auction on Saturday, May 6, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Robert and Victoria Minowitz have been called upon to
contribute their time and talents to countless civic and charitable
endeavors and have always given of themselves unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Robert and Victoria Minowitz have been staunch supporters
of North Country Reform Temple (NCRT) since 2008; and

WHEREAS, An avid New York Yankee fan, Robert Minowitz volunteers at
North Country Reform Temple with various activities, and particularly
enjoys attending the Temple's unique, music-filled High Holy Days; and

WHEREAS, Victoria Minowitz works tirelessly at North Country Reform
Temple to expand its education activities, chief among them, the Purim
Carnival and teacher gift giving; and

WHEREAS, In addition, she has helped the American Airpower Museum
celebrate the efforts of our World War II veterans by creating new
customized programs to increase attendance, as well as transform its
online presence; and

WHEREAS, Victoria Minowitz is an active consultant and board member
with the AHA Autism Association, which provides crucial services to the
autism community; she also supports the autism-related film industry
work program, Spectrum Productions; and

WHEREAS, Most recently, Victoria Minowitz has taken on the role of
marketing consultant for the Viscardi Center's Oral Health Alliance, and
is now a member of the Tilles Center of the Performing Arts Council of
Overseers; and

WHEREAS, With them throughout have been their two children, Raquel
and Josh, both of whom feel privileged to be a part of their lives and
rejoice in their achievements; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Robert and Victoria Minowitz have
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by
individuals for the benefit of others which Robert and Victoria Minowitz
have displayed throughout their lives; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Robert and Victoria Minowitz, that future generations may know and
appreciate their admirable character, their many benevolent deeds, and
the respect and esteem in which they are held by their peers; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Robert and Victoria Minowitz upon the occasion of their
designation for special recognition by North Country Reform Temple on
May 6, 2017; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Robert and Victoria Minowitz.
