HONORING Harold Jones upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the William B. Joslin
Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay just tribute to those citizens who embody the true American spirit,
demonstrating personal courage and determination; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Harold Jones upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, The Annual Joslin Awards Program of the New York State
Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) respectfully acknowledges
individuals in New York communities who strengthen the Preferred Source
Program through jobs well done; and

WHEREAS, Harold Jones is an independent, energetic gentleman with a
friendly heart, and a kind personality; he is a great role model to
others and is always trying to cheer people up and make them happy; and

WHEREAS, Consistently demonstrating an outstanding job performance,
Harold Jones is a valued member of Access: Supports for Living in
Middletown/Orange County; through hard work and determination, he has
learned many new skills, and subsequently, is employed full-time as a
restroom specialist; and

WHEREAS, Harold Jones also works in building security; he assigns
keys and identification badges at the beginning of each shift, and
collects and secures them at the end; while he mostly works as part of a
team, he maintains one building on his own; and

WHEREAS, Harold Jones has been a great asset to his supervisor and
always maintains a very positive attitude towards his co-workers,
building occupants, and customers; and

WHEREAS, This exemplary man has developed various workplace skills,
including an eagerness to learn, dedication to quality work,
self-confidence, determination, and teamwork qualities; he has worked
tremendously hard to succeed and improve his employment skills, and is
thrilled to have prospective job opportunities on the horizon; and

WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of his duties and
responsibilities, Harold Jones' ongoing efforts and notable achievements
have significantly contributed to bettering the quality of life in his
community; and

WHEREAS, When he is not working, Harold Jones enjoys talking on his
cell phone and going to the movies; he takes great pride in his
independence and likes to pay his own bills; and


WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such enduring courage and accomplishment are brought to
our attention, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend those
individuals for the edification and emulation of others; now, therefore,
be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Harold Jones upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled, Inc., and to wish him continued success in
all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Harold Jones.
