HONORING Bethany Bernatovicz upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of the Yellow Rose
Award by the Zonta Club of Grand Island
WHEREAS, From time to time, this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Bethany Bernatovicz upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Yellow Rose Award by the Zonta Club of Grand Island, New York,
celebrated on Wednesday, March 8, 2017; and
WHEREAS, New York State is home to countless women, strong and
colorful threads vital to the fabric of our rich heritage, who have and
continue to contribute to the advancement of our culture through their
traditional and non-traditional roles in society; and
WHEREAS, The Zonta Club, an international organization of
professional women who work to advance the status of women through
service and advocacy, sets aside March 8th of each year as Yellow Rose
Day, to honor the accomplishments of women worldwide; the Zonta Club of
Grand Island takes this opportunity to honor women whose courage,
determination and dedication have made a difference in the lives of
others within the community and beyond; and
WHEREAS, Bethany Bernatovicz is both the President and owner of ASI
Signage Systems; under her luminous leadership, the company has grown
instrumentally and currently serves Buffalo, New York, and Cleveland,
Ohio; the company specializes in consultation, design, manufacturing and
installation of architectural signs; and
WHEREAS, For the past several years, ASI Signage has received
numerous awards including Top 15 Women-Owned Companies by Business
First; in addition, Bethany Bernatovicz has earned over seven sales
awards for her steadfast and unremitting commitment to her career; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to her community, Bethany Bernatovicz serves as
the Travel Assistant Coach, Director of Player Development and Vice
President of the Grand Island Soccer Team; in addition, she is a Race
Volunteer Coordinator for the Buffalo Marathon and a volunteer with the
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Charleston Walk; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Andy, and their
three children, Lydia, Carly, and Tyler, all of whom feel privileged to
be a part of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Bethany Bernatovicz upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the Yellow Rose Award by the Zonta Club of Grand Island;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Bethany Bernatovicz.
