COMMENDING Andrea Crisafulli upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by Friends
of Scouting

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Andrea Crisafulli has given not only of her time and
energies but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently has been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Andrea
Crisafulli upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
by Friends of Scouting to be celebrated at its Annual Breakfast on May
9, 2017, at the Albany Capital Center in Albany, New York; and

WHEREAS, Andrea Crisafulli is both the owner and President of
Crisafulli Bros. Plumbing and Heating Contractors, Inc.; founded in
1939, Crisafulli Bros. is a locally-owned and family-operated business
spanning three generations; and

WHEREAS, Crisafulli Bros. is an exemplar of a core business which
provides valuable services and contributes to the economic growth and
vitality of its communities; under Andrea Crisafulli's luminous
leadership, the company has gone through a period of significant growth
in revenues and employment; and

WHEREAS, Andrea Crisafulli has been called upon to contribute her
time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of herself unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Dedicated to her community, Andrea Crisafulli is actively
involved with numerous organizations and activities; she is currently
the President of the Board of the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce,
serves on the Executive Board of the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce,
and is a member of the CEG membership committee and the Women's Business
Council; in addition, she is a participant of the Women@Work Advisory
Board, the Women Presidents' Organization, and several trade-specific
organizations; and

WHEREAS, For her steadfast and unremitting commitment to her
community, Andrea Crisafulli has been honored by the Capital District
Women's Employment and Resource Center (WERC), Key Bank and the Albany
Executives Association; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Andrea Crisafulli has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Andrea Crisafulli has
displayed throughout her life; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Andrea Crisafulli upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by Friends of Scouting; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Andrea Crisafulli.
