HONORING The Reverend Vincent G. Chirichella of
Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn,
New York, upon the occasion of celebrating the 10th
Anniversary of his ordination

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to celebrate and
honor the accomplishments of faith leaders throughout the State of New
York who provide opportunities for spiritual guidance, growth,
fellowship, friendship, and community involvement to their parishioners;
and

WHEREAS, Father Vincent G. Chirichella who leads Our Lady of Grace
Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, New York, is celebrating the 10th
Anniversary of his ordination at a party held in his honor on Saturday,
June 3, 2017, at Rex Manor in Brooklyn; and

WHEREAS, In addition, the faithful members of Our Lady of Grace
Roman Catholic Church will recognize Father Vincent G. Chirichella's
mother, Michela, a wonderful woman who is deeply dedicated to her church
and community; and

WHEREAS, Father Vincent G. Chirichella was a student at Our Lady of
Mount Carmel School in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and graduated from Christ
the King High School in Middle Village, Queens; after graduation, he
attended the Catholic Medical Center School of Radiology, and served as
an X-Ray Technologist until he was called to the priesthood; and

WHEREAS, In 1999, Father Vincent G. Chirichella was accepted to
Cathedral Seminary Residence in Douglaston, Queens; in 2002, he earned
his bachelor's degree in philosophy from Saint Francis College in
Brooklyn; he furthered his education by obtaining both his Master of
Arts and Master of Divinity degrees at the Seminary of the Immaculate
Conception in Huntington, New York; and

WHEREAS, On June 2, 2007, Vincent G. Chirichella was ordained a
Priest of Jesus Christ by the Most Reverend Nicholas DiMarzio; through
the last decade, he has served as the parochial Vicar at Saint Luke
Church in Whitestone, Queens, and Pastor of Saint Dominic Church in
Bensonhurst, Brooklyn; and

WHEREAS, Currently, Father Vincent G. Chirichella is the Pastor at
Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, a position he has held since
February of 2015; and

WHEREAS, In his many and varied endeavors, Father Vincent G.
Chirichella has brought great joy, energy, talent and dedication to
serving the needs of his congregation at Our Lady of Grace Roman
Catholic Church, whether through providing spiritual guidance and
communion to his parishioners or by reaching out to the larger
community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
recognize and congratulate The Reverend Vincent G. Chirichella upon the

occasion of celebrating the 10th Anniversary of his ordination; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to The Reverend Vincent G. Chirichella.
