HONORING Art Girasole upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Volunteer of the
Year Award by the McGuire Group Seneca Health Care
Center

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made
significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Art Girasole
upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Volunteer of
the Year Award by McGuire Group Seneca Health Care Center, celebrated at
its 24th Annual Volunteer Recognition and Award Luncheon; and

WHEREAS, A resident of Orchard Park, New York, Art Girasole is being
recognized with this auspicious award for his steadfast and unwavering
dedication to the betterment of his community, serving as an outstanding
example to its residents; and

WHEREAS, Called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless
civic and charitable endeavors, Art Girasole has always given of himself
unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, For the last three years, Art Girasole has graciously
served as a volunteer at the McGuire Group Seneca Health Care Center; he
is always willing to lend a helping hand and does so with a positive and
cheerful attitude; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Art Girasole has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife of 40 years, and
their two daughters, all of whom have shown him love and support and
rejoice in his many achievements; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Art Girasole has displayed
throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Art Girasole, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Art Girasole upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Volunteer of the Year Award by the McGuire Group Seneca Health Care
Center; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Art Girasole.
