CONGRATULATING Mary Allen Russo upon the occasion
of celebrating her 102nd Birthday

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to commemorate
and recognize certain milestones celebrated by citizens of this great
Nation and Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Mary Allen Russo upon the occasion of celebrating her 102nd
Birthday; and

WHEREAS, Mary Russo was born on May 24, 1915, in Salina,
Pennsylvania, to parents Peter and Pauline Chiatello of Torino, Italy;
she attended school in Coy, Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, Mary Russo was a Restaurant/Bar Owner, Factory Worker, and
a homemaker; she was married to Ben Allen and Joseph Russo; she was
blessed with four children, Richard, Kenneth, Roger, and Debra; she has
been further blessed with six grandchildren, Audrey, Keith, Steven,
Gwen, Mike, Brian, and nine great-grandchildren, Jesse, Savanah, Jake,
Sophie, Julia, Alazar, Ella, Cammy, and Eliza; and

WHEREAS, Mary Allen Russo's favorite pastimes include cooking for
her family, family gatherings, raking leaves, camping, crocheting, and
being a member of the Altar/Rosary Society; she is very angelic by
putting her faith at the forefront of her life and she always has a very
positive attitude; and

WHEREAS, Mary Allen Russo is an excellent cook and baker; her famous
words are "take it as it comes" and "forgive and forget"; and

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly
recognize and honor the lives of beloved citizens who have reached a
remarkable age and who have witnessed and celebrated the outstanding
innovations, cultural developments, and awesome achievements of this
Nation during the last century; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Mary Allen Russo upon the occasion of celebrating her 102nd
Birthday; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mary Allen Russo.
