COMMENDING PS41Q: The Crocheron School in Bayside,
New York, upon the occasion of celebrating its
Centennial Anniversary on October 14, 2016
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend institutions of true purpose and high achievement whose
exemplary programs and accomplishments clearly demonstrate the pursuit
of excellence in education and service to the community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its
long-standing traditions, it is the intent of this Legislative Body to
commend PS41Q: The Crocheron School in Bayside, New York, upon the
occasion of celebrating its Centennial Anniversary on Friday, October
14, 2016; and
WHEREAS, The greatest asset of any society is its children and the
hope and promise they represent for the future; PS41Q: The Crocheron
School has a proud and rich history of providing the children of Queens
an educational foundation which is both strong and enduring; and
WHEREAS, PS41Q: the Crocheron School, is consistently ranked as one
of the best elementary schools in New York; in 2007, the school was
proudly named a Blue Ribbon School, the highest honor the federal
government bestows upon outstanding elementary and middle schools; and
WHEREAS, Today, under the luminous leadership of Principal Joseph
Ferrara, PS41Q: The Crocheron School continues it exceptional tradition
of quality education, consistently earning outstanding grades on its
Annual Report Card issued by the Department of Education; and
WHEREAS, The steadfast and unyielding commitment of parents,
educators and administrators to provide the highest quality education
for students has become the hallmark and tradition of PS41Q: The
Crocheron School; and
WHEREAS, Within the 21st Century, PS41Q: The Crocheron School stands
prepared to reach out, in earnest and enthusiastic quest of its mission,
to promote the maximum growth of every student, establishing standards
and building skills which will carry its students and the citizens of
its community into the future; and
WHEREAS, PS41Q: The Crocheron School is proudly aware of its
distinguished past serving the families of Queens, eager to fulfill its
present commitment to parents, students, faculty, alumni and community,
and planning with vision and purpose for the ebb and swell of growth and
change it will encounter in the years to come; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend PS41Q: The Crocheron School in Bayside, New York, upon the
occasion of celebrating its Centennial Anniversary on October 14, 2016;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Joseph Ferrara, Principal, PS41Q: The Crocheron School.
