Senate Resolution No. 2391

HONORING Gonzalo Santiago upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Outstanding Student
of the Year Award by the Suffolk Association for
Continuing and Community Education

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to take note of
those individuals who have distinguished themselves through their
exemplary pursuit of education as adults; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Gonzalo Santiago upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Outstanding Student of the Year Award by the Suffolk Association for
Continuing and Community Education; and

WHEREAS, The Suffolk Association for Continuing and Community
Education (SACCE) was founded to promote lifelong learning opportunities
for adults within Suffolk County and beyond the county's borders; its
purpose is to advance adult education as a vital factor in adult growth,
development and fulfillment; and

WHEREAS, A truly dedicated student, Gonzalo Santiago has worked hard
for his achievements and has become a productive member of the community
as well as a role model in the classroom for other students; and

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to commend
individuals of outstanding character, who have shown initiative and
commitment toward constantly pursuing higher goals for themselves, and
acting as role models of leadership to be emulated by their peers; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Gonzalo Santiago upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the Outstanding Student of the Year Award by the Suffolk Association
for Continuing and Community Education; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Gonzalo Santiago.
