HONORING Brittany Leventoff upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association
as a 2017 Senior Scholar-Athlete
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its
young citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and
accomplishments exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great
State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Brittany
Leventoff upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2017
Senior Scholar-Athlete; this momentous occasion was celebrated with a
Breakfast on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Kuhl's Highland House,
Middletown, New York; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Brittany Leventoff has
distinguished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent,
and maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement,
purposefulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful
years; and
WHEREAS, A student at Fallsburg Junior Senior High School, Brittany
Leventoff is ranked fifth in her class with a 93.70 GPA; she is Class
President and a member of the National Honor Society, Students Against
Destructive Decisions and Key Club; and
WHEREAS, In addition, she is a member of the cross country and
softball teams, as well as captain of the alpine ski team; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to her community, Brittany Leventoff gives
tirelessly of her time and energies to volunteering with Heart-a-thon,
Sullivan Renaissance, Toy Drive and the Thanksgiving Food Drive; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Brittany
Leventoff has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Brittany Leventoff may stand with pride in her
achievements, experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of
her accomplishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as
she continues her education; and
WHEREAS, Brittany Leventoff represents the potential inherent in our
most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to
honor this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of
her future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Brittany Leventoff upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic
Association as a 2017 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish her well in
her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Brittany Leventoff.
