COMMENDING Joslynn Bull upon the occasion of being
crowned the New York State High School Rodeo Queen

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and the
leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements exemplify the
ideals and values cherished by this great State and nation; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Joslynn Bull upon the occasion of being crowned the New
York State High School Rodeo Queen for the 2017-2018 rodeo season on
Sunday, May 21, 2017, in Batavia, New York; and

WHEREAS, The New York State High School Rodeo Association (NYSHSRA)
travels throughout the state hosting rodeo events including chute
dogging, goat tying, pole bending, break away roping, ribbon roping,
team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing, junior steer riding, and
bull riding as well as bronco riding; and

WHEREAS, The daughter of Jeremy and Jolynn Bull, Joslynn Bull is a
junior at Barker High School and has been a member of the state High
School Rodeo for two years, competing in both barrel racing and pole
bending; and

WHEREAS, In her role as the Rodeo Queen, Joslynn Bull will ride and
open every rodeo event, sell 50/50 split club tickets for The New York
State High School Rodeo Association, and attend the National High School
Rodeo in Gillet, Wyoming, this summer to compete for the title of
National Queen; and

WHEREAS, Poised eagerly with enthusiasm and determined purpose, this
young woman now stands honorably, with just pride in her accomplishments
and in eager anticipation of future challenges, understanding and
appreciating the caring counsel and support provided by her coaches and
parents; and

WHEREAS, Joslynn Bull represents the potential which is inherent in
our most precious resource, our youth; she has brought enduring honor to
her family and her community through her many achievements; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Joslynn Bull upon the occasion of being crowned the New
York State High School Rodeo Queen, and to wish her success in all her
future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Joslynn Bull.
