COMMEMORATING the 75th Anniversary of the Chadwick
Bay Chapter of NYS Women, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to honor and
commemorate the proud and distinguished histories of organizations which
comprise the noble body of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Chadwick Bay Chapter of NYS
Women, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, The Chadwick Bay Chapter's mission is to build powerful
women personally, professionally and politically; the organization
enriches the lives of women in Chautauqua County, as well as others in
need in New York State, through the use of corporate and individual
donations, grants, and fundraisers; and

WHEREAS, Through donations, the Chadwick Bay Chapter is able to
offer scholarships every year to women who are non-traditional students
in need of assistance; the organization's members also support local
venues such as: the Dunkirk Library, WCA Women's Home, Dunkirk Food
Pantry, Flowers for Fredonia, and Meals-on-Wheels through volunteer time
and fundraising donations; and

WHEREAS, The Chadwick Bay Chapter offers younger women the
opportunity to listen to others about how to make a difference in the
community; this allows members of the club to share their experiences
with the next generation of women members; and

WHEREAS, The Chadwick Bay Chapter truly makes a difference by being
open to women of all ages and in various stages of their lives
regardless of ethnicity, religion and/or profession; providing equality
and economic self-sufficiency is a vital part of the Chapter to be
carried on for generations to come; and

WHEREAS, Observing that special recognition should be given to those
organizations and businesses that work assiduously for the betterment of
their communities and should be acknowledged publicly for the good works
they do for the families and neighbors of the area; and

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly
recognize and honor milestones in the history of communities large and
small in this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Chadwick Bay Chapter of NYS
Women, Inc.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Chadwick Bay Chapter of NYS Women, Inc.
