HONORING Sherry DelleBovi upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2017 Distinguished
Service Award by the Buffalo Chapter of the New York
State Society of CPAs

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to take note of
and publicly acknowledge individuals who have distinguished themselves
through their exemplary careers, accomplishments, and purposeful lives
of service to their community; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Sherry DelleBovi upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2017 Distinguished Service Award by the Buffalo Chapter of the New
York State Society of CPAs; and

WHEREAS, The New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA) aims to
educate, connect, and grow its membership within the CPA industry; and

WHEREAS, Since their inception in 1897, CPAs and financial
professionals have achieved great success in their careers through its
membership program; its member benefits include in-person and online
networking opportunities, CPE courses and conferences, over 60
committees with in-depth focuses and specializations, the CPA Journal,
and its other award-winning publications; and

WHEREAS, Currently, the NYSSCPA consists of more than 26,000 CPAs,
lawyers, bankers, and other professionals from associated industries;
and

WHEREAS, Chartered on February 5, 1925, the Buffalo Chapter of the
NYSSCPA encompasses the following counties: Allegany, Cattaraugus,
Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming; and

WHEREAS, Sherry DelleBovi received this prestigious award for her
steadfast and unremitting commitment to both her profession and her
community; and

WHEREAS, A partner at Lumsden & McCormick, LLP, Sherry DelleBovi
held the title of President of the Buffalo Chapter of NYSSCPA; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Sherry DelleBovi upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the 2017 Distinguished Service Award by the Buffalo Chapter of the
New York State Society of CPAs; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sherry DelleBovi.
