HONORING Josephine Rose upon the occasion of being
selected to participate in the National Association
for Music Education All-Eastern Treble Chorus
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
dedication and commitment of our young people who distinguish themselves
through excellence in musical competition; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Josephine Rose upon the occasion of being selected to participate in the
National Association for Music Education All-Eastern Treble Chorus, to
be held April 5-8, 2017, in Atlantic City, New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, Josephine Rose will perform Alto 2 at the Biennial Eastern
Division Conference, a competition which is held every two years and is
hosted by a local state Music Education Association; and
WHEREAS, With the assistance of her music teacher, Josephine Rose, a
student at Wallkill Senior High School, will prepare remarkably
challenging music and perform under the leadership of a prominent
conductor in this biennial event; and
WHEREAS, Music competition provides an opportunity for students to
exhibit their practical skills to an audience, thereby giving them a
sense of pride in their hard work and efforts; and
WHEREAS, This momentous occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to wish Josephine Rose continued success throughout her
school years and beyond; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Josephine Rose upon the occasion of being selected to participate
in the National Association for Music Education All-Eastern Treble
Chorus; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Josephine Rose.
