HONORING Coyote Moon Vineyards upon the occasion
of being named the 2017 New York State Winery of the
Year at the New York International Wine Competition,
May 7-8, 2017
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Coyote Moon Vinyards of Clayton, New York, upon the occasion of being
named the 2017 New York State Winery of the Year at the New York
International Wine Competition, held in New York City, May 7-8, 2017;
and
WHEREAS, This designation marks the second consecutive year that
Coyote Moon Vineyards has received this esteemed honor; and
WHEREAS, Coyote Moon Vineyards, owned and operated by Philip J.
Randazzo, was also recognized in 10 other categories, including a double
gold award for its 2012 Marquette Special Reserve, two gold awards, four
silver awards and two bronze awards; and
WHEREAS, The New York International Wine Competition is held each
year and provides winemakers an opportunity to have their products
tasted by some of the top buyers in the world; in 2017, the competition
included over 1,300 wine submissions from over 23 countries; and
WHEREAS, Coyote Moon Vineyards is a family owned business and has
won more than 980 wine competition awards over the past eight years,
including more than 50 "Best of Class" honors; and
WHEREAS, Since planting its first vineyard in 2008, Coyote Moon
Vineyards has been a success, thanks to the efforts of its hardworking
and dedicated staff whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the business and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business, its contributions to the local
and state economies, and its vibrant role in improving the quality of
life in its community, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy
the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Coyote Moon Vineyards upon the occasion of being named the 2017
New York State Winery of the Year at the New York International Wine
Competition; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Philip J. Randazzo, Owner, Coyote Moon Vineyards.
