community; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend all American Red Cross volunteers and donors, in conjunction
with the observance of March 2018, as American Red Cross Month in the
State of New York; and

provides a way in which the human values of community, caring and
serving can be sustained and strengthened; and

and safety services; and

WHEREAS, With 12 regional chapters, the American Red Cross
throughout this great Empire State has a long history of providing
compassionate care to those in need; and

support to our military families and, working with the International Red
