COMMENDING Pamela Luckie upon the occasion of her
retirement after 31 years of distinguished service
to the Ogdensburg City School community

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Pamela Luckie upon the occasion of her retirement after 31 years
of distinguished service to the Ogdensburg City School community; she
will officially retire on June 30, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Luckie began her career as a school nurse, a
position she held for 12 years; she also spent five years as coordinator
of Health Services for the Ogdensburg City School District; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Luckie's career also included 10 years teaching
elementary, middle and high school students within the school system;
most recently, she served as a middle school principal; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Luckie is a dedicated educator who always put her
students first and displayed not only her passion for education, but her
love for the youth under her care and her deep connection to the
Ogdensburg school community, every day of her long career; and

WHEREAS, Educators like Pamela Luckie provide a tremendous service
to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of young
people in their educational journeys and ensuring their success in their
future years; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Luckie has clearly had an enduring impact on the
youth of the Ogdensburg City School, as well as on the
community-at-large, and accordingly merits recognition and applause for
her impressive dedication to others; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support our proud tradition of
public education by providing their skills and talents to our schools;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Pamela Luckie upon the occasion of her retirement after 31 years
of distinguished service to the Ogdensburg City school community, and to
wish her continued success in all her future endeavors; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Pamela Luckie.
