RECOGNIZING February 2018, as National Children's
Dental Health Month

WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in participating in
months of recognition of important issues; and

WHEREAS, February is National Children's Dental Health Month; and

WHEREAS, Thousands of dental professionals, healthcare providers,
and educators participate in the month long observance to promote the
benefits of good dental health to children, their caregivers, and
others; and

WHEREAS, The slogan for 2018 Children's Dental Health Month is
"brush your teeth with fluoride toothpaste and clean between your teeth
for a healthy smile"; and

WHEREAS, The Touro College of Dental Medicine and the Ninth District
Dental Association are holding a special event, "Give Kids a Smile" on
February 16, 2018, as part of Children's Dental Health Month; and

WHEREAS, This event will be a fun and unique way to promote good
dental health for children; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
recognize February 2018, as Children's Dental Health Month; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Touro College of Dental Medicine and to the Ninth
District Dental Association.
