HONORING Suetanya Euter upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2017 Scholarship
Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Suetanya Euter upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
2017 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter
of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, This momentous occasion will be celebrated at the 19th
Annual Tuition Assistance Awards Gala on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at
Anthony's Pier 9, New Windsor, New York; and

WHEREAS, A senior at Newburgh Free Academy (NFA), Suetanya Euter is
a member of the girls varsity tennis team and the Concept Vehicle Racing
Team; she gives tirelessly of her time and energies as a volunteer, and
works a part-time job; and

WHEREAS, Suetanya Euter came to the United States from Jamaica to
participate in a public school system with opportunities far beyond
anything her island home could provide; since this time, she has done so
with boundless enthusiasm; and

WHEREAS, This esteemed young woman plans to major in pharmaceutical
science and minor in business administration with the goal of earning a
post-graduate doctorate of pharmacy degree; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her high school career, Suetanya Euter has
displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and

WHEREAS, Suetanya Euter, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of
excellence she brings to her family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Suetanya Euter upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the 2017 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., and to extend best wishes for a future
of purposeful success and well-being; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Suetanya Euter.
