COMMENDING Cronk's Electronics of Liberty, New
York upon the occasion of celebrating its 30th
Anniversary
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
businesses within the State of New York which contribute to the economic
health and vitality of the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Cronk's Electronics of Liberty, New York upon the occasion of
celebrating its 30th Anniversary; and
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Liberty, Tom Cronk attended St. Peter's
Regional Catholic School and Liberty High School; and
WHEREAS, On April 1, 1987, Tom Cronk opened Cronk's Electronics at
311 North Main Street in Liberty; his children, Jen Friehling and Nigel
Cronk recall fond memories of growing up at the store, where they
enjoyed watching what their father did best; today, he and Jen work side
by side continuing his tradition of providing excellent sales and
service to its loyal customers; and
WHEREAS, From its humble beginnings as a repair shop, Cronk's
Electronics has grown into a competitively priced, full-service
electronics business; for three decades, Cronk's has provided its
customers with the latest technology televisions, audio equipment, and
appliances (including air conditioners); along with electronics,
shoppers can also purchase high quality bedding and furniture; and
WHEREAS, Cronk's Electronics also offers custom audio and video,
along with satellite installations; Cronk's was the first in the area to
install DirecTV and grew into installing and servicing the satellite
internet providers Hughesnet and Exede; and
WHEREAS, Unlike the big box stores, Jen Friehling and Tom Cronk
pride themselves on their customer service; they personally greet each
and every one of their customers with a warm smile and truly enjoy
getting to know them; and
WHEREAS, The success of Cronk's Electronics is in direct correlation
to the efforts of its staff, whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the institution and the community it serves; and
WHEREAS, Businesses, such as Cronk's Electronics and its owners and
employees, exert a strong, positive influence on the communities they
serve and are an essential component of the economies of Sullivan County
and the State of New York, and of their quality of life; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions, and those
of Tom Cronk, and now of his daughter, Jen, as well, fully confident
they will continue to enjoy the success Tom Cronk has worked so hard to
achieve; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Cronk's Electronics of Liberty, New York upon the occasion of
celebrating its 30th Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Tom Cronk, Owner, Cronk's Electronics.
