CONGRATULATING SallyAnne Rudny upon the occasion
of being designated as an NJCAA Division III
All-American

WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can only be
achieved by those outstanding individuals who demonstrate the qualities
that lead to success in athletics, academics and life in this great
Empire State; and

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to recognize
those young people within our community who, by achieving outstanding
success in athletic competitions, have inspired and brought pride to
their College and community; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate SallyAnne Rudny upon the occasion of being being designated
as an NJCAA Division III All-American; and

WHEREAS, SallyAnne Rudny was honored for the second straight season
as an NJCAA Division III First-Team All-American after leading the
Jamestown Community College Jayhawks to a 31-2 record, and their first
national tournament appearance since 2012; and

WHEREAS, SallyAnne Rudny is a 5-foot-7 outside hitter who has been
ranked fourth in the nation with 430 kills and fifth in kills per set
with 4.17; she has also ranked 14th in total attacks with 1,010, and
20th in hitting percentage at .320; her 63 aces placed her 21st in the
country; these are outstanding accomplishments that require tremendous
skill, talent and dedication; and

WHEREAS, SallyAnne Rudny topped 20 kills five times this past
season, including a season high of 29 in a 3-2 win over University of
Pittsburg-Bradford; and

WHEREAS, SallyAnne Rudny has clearly excelled and has a very bright
future ahead of her; and

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly
recognize those athlete-scholars who have achieved notable success in
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate SallyAnne Rudny upon the occasion of being designated as an
NJCAA Division III All-American; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to SallyAnne Rudny.
