HONORING Key Bank upon the occasion of its
designation for special recognition by Unity House
on February 9, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those institutions of commitment and high achievement whose
purpose and endeavors prove a dedication to the pursuit of excellence in
community education and wellness of this Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Key Bank upon the occasion of its designation for special recognition by
Unity House, to be celebrated at its Annual Gala on Friday, February 9,
2018, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Troy, New York; and

WHEREAS, Established in 1971, Unity House is a Rensselaer
County-based human service agency which provides a wide range of
services to meet the otherwise unmet needs of people in the community
who are hurting and struggling; they assist those living in poverty,
adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic
violence, and children with developmental delays; and

WHEREAS, For many years, Key Bank has committed itself to building
enduring relationships with its clients, employees and local residents,
as well as participating in the growth and revitalization of the
communities it calls home; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to giving back,
Key Bank and its employee volunteers support countless local
organizations that prepare individuals for thriving futures through
community service and philanthropy; and

WHEREAS, In so effectively carrying out its mission, Key Bank has
demonstrated the value of going above and beyond the call of service by
helping advance the goals of Unity House and the continued growth of its
programs and services; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
institutions of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Key Bank upon the occasion of its designation for special
recognition by Unity House; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Key Bank.
