HONORING Jason D. Thomson upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the New York State
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America
School Administrator Award on March 22, 2018
WHEREAS, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled;
its history and stature are secured by the superlative caliber of its
educational professionals and the students they inspire; and
WHEREAS, The American public school system is a treasured
institution; those who work to improve our schools and ensure that all
children have access to quality educational programs merit the highest
commendation of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jason D. Thomson upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the New York State Family, Career and Community Leaders of America
School Administrator Award, to be celebrated at a banquet on Thursday,
March 22, 2018, at the Double Tree Conference Center in East Syracuse,
New York; and
WHEREAS, Jason D. Thomson is receiving this prestigious award for
his role as an exceptional school administrator who enthusiastically
supports Delaware Academy's chapter of Family, Career and Community
Leaders of America (FCCLA) and encourages his students to take part in
the many opportunities this vital organization has to offer; and
WHEREAS, Jason D. Thomson was instrumental in creating a hospitality
curriculum for Delaware Academy's College Technical Education Program
(CTEP), a partnership with SUNY Delhi which allows high school students
to train for a technical skill, receive college credits and earn a
diploma; and
WHEREAS, Jason D. Thomson has continually demonstrated an impressive
dedication, an unparalleled devotion and an unremitting enthusiasm for
the quality of the educational programs and opportunities offered in the
Delaware Academy Central School District at Delhi schools for the
benefit of its faculty and students, as well as for the entire
community; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support our proud tradition of
public education by providing their skills and talents to our schools;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jason D. Thomson upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the New York State Family, Career and Community Leaders of America
School Administrator Award; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jason D. Thomson.
