HONORING Karen and Robert Spitalnick upon the
occasion of their designation as Grandparents of the
Year by the North Shore Hebrew Academy
WHEREAS, The quality and character of life in the Empire State is
greatly enriched by the faithful and generous service of those who
devote themselves to endeavors of family, faith and community, and to
the education of the youth of the community; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend individuals of such magnanimous conduct and bearing who
demonstrate a deep and continuing concern for others, and in so doing,
inspire others to do the same; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Karen and Robert Spitalnick upon the occasion of their designation as
Grandparents of the Year by the North Shore Hebrew Academy, to be
recognized at its Annual Dinner Celebration on Sunday, March 11, 2018;
and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion brings together more than 1,000
North Shore Hebrew Academy community members for a celebratory night of
fun with proceeds helping to provide its students with the best Judaic
and general education possible; and
WHEREAS, Karen and Robert Spitalnick have been called upon to
contribute their time and talents to countless civic and charitable
endeavors and have always given of themselves unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Karen and Robert Spitalnick have
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, The success of the North Shore Hebrew Academy is in direct
correlation to the efforts of individuals such as Karen and Robert
Spitalnick, whose involvement is, and always has been, characterized by
an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising
standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the school and the
community it serves; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by
individuals for the benefit of others which Karen and Robert Spitalnick
have displayed throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records this tribute to
Karen and Robert Spitalnick, that future generations may know and
appreciate their admirable character, their many benevolent deeds, and
the respect and esteem in which they are held by their peers; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Karen and Robert Spitalnick upon the occasion of their designation
as Grandparents of the Year by the North Shore Hebrew Academy; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Karen and Robert Spitalnick.
