COMMENDING Patricia Lamb upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the 2016
Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women
and Women in Business
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Lamb has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Patricia
Lamb upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
2016 Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women and Women in
Business; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Lamb graduated from Tri-Valley Central School
before earning her degree in nursing from SUNY Delhi; and
WHEREAS, A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Patricia Lamb has worked
for New Hope Community Inc. for more than 30 years; throughout her
illustrious tenure she has served in several capacities including as
Case Manager, Program Coordinator, Program Coordinator Director,
Director of Residential Services and Director of Health Services; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Lamb is an active member of the Community
Christian Fellowship Church in the Manor, which was started by her late
husband; she volunteers each fall for the Sullivan County Long Beards at
their NWTF fall JAKES event; and
WHEREAS, In addition, she works tirelessly helping local children
make birdhouses each year, and has served with the Neversink Volunteer
Ambulance; she also spent three years as a Trustee/Secretary of the
Neversink/Fallsburg Cemetery Association; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Lamb was married to her husband, the late William
Lamb, until his passing in January; with her throughout have been her
son, William (Andreya), and her two beautiful grandchildren, Laryana and
Daniel, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice
in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Patricia Lamb has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Patricia Lamb upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the 2016 Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional
Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Patricia Lamb.
