HONORING La Galleria Banquets upon the occasion of
its designation as recipient of the 2018 Couple's
Choice Award for Best Wedding Venue in Western New
York by WeddingWire Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of businesses
and individuals who generously contribute to the welfare of the
community and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to
honor La Galleria Banquets upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2018 Couple's Choice Award for Best Wedding Venue in
Western New York by WeddingWire Inc.; and

WHEREAS, Owned by Aida Carducci, La Galleria Banquets is receiving
this auspicious award for its demonstrated excellence in quality,
service, responsiveness, and professionalism; and

WHEREAS, Known for its beamed cathedral ceilings, soaring brick
arches, beautifully landscaped grounds, rustic woods, a stunning
pergola, a wishing well and picturesque gazebos, La Galleria Banquets is
a premier wedding venue which offers its clients not only multiple
locations for incredible photographs, but also, delicious food and
atmosphere; and

WHEREAS, Born to an Italian father and German mother, Aida Carducci
learned to speak German fluently from her grandmother; during the
summers, she loved to dance in ballets on the great stages of New York
City; and

WHEREAS, After graduating with a German studies degree from The
University of Buffalo, Aida Carducci began her long and distinguished
career teaching both German and Spanish at Frontier High School; and

WHEREAS, In 1976, Aida Carducci helped her husband open La Galleria,
a Northern Italian restaurant in Orchard Park; today, at the age of 90,
she continues to serve an active role in the day to day aspects of the
business; she always samples a new dish for quality and taste, and is
the person to go to for a final stamp of approval on a project; and

WHEREAS, Aida Carducci "Mrs. C" is truly loved by all; she
enthusiastically greets each and every one of her employees and
customers with a warm smile and a joyous heart; and

WHEREAS, When she is not at La Galleria Banquets, Aida Carducci
enjoys tending to her gardens, traveling, and learning the Italian
language; above all, she loves to spend time with her cherished family,
especially her five grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor La Galleria Banquets upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2018 Couple's Choice Award for Best Wedding Venue in
Western New York by WeddingWire Inc.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Aida Carducci, Owner, La Galleria Banquets.
