COMMENDING Claire Taggart upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the 2016
Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women
and Women in Business
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Claire Taggart has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Claire
Taggart upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the 2016 Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women and Women
in Business; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Livingston Manor Central School, Claire
Taggart attended Mohawk Valley Community College, and is currently
working on her bachelor's degree from the New England College of
Business and Finance through an online partnership with Jeff Bank; she
is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources; and
WHEREAS, Claire Taggart wears many hats as Vice President Human
Resource Manager at Jeff Bank in Sullivan County, New York; she is
involved in recruiting, hiring, compensation, policies and procedures,
employee relations, training, strategic objectives for the department,
employee benefits and payroll; and
WHEREAS, During her eight years at the bank, Claire Taggart's
favorite part of the job, as well as the most challenging, is balancing
being an employee advocate and protecting the interests of the company
and the organization; she also takes pride in coaching and mentoring
employees, and helping them meet their professional goals; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to her community, Claire Taggart serves as a
member of the Bilingual Advisory Committee for Sullivan Renaissance as
well as a member of the Sullivan County Workforce Development Board; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband of 23 years,
Gary, and her two sons, Trever and Evan, who feel privileged to be a
part of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Claire Taggart has displayed
throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Claire Taggart upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the 2016 Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional
Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Claire Taggart.
