HONORING Arleen Baez upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the HeartShare Visionary
Award by HeartShare Human Services of New York on
April 11, 2018
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
organizations and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Arleen Baez
upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the HeartShare
Visionary Award by HeartShare Human Services of New York to be
celebrated at its Spring Gala on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the New
York Marriott Marquis in New York City; and
WHEREAS, The HeartShare Visionary Award is presented to an
individual whose work honors our past, shapes our present, and
transforms our future by building a foundation for success for
HeartShare and the community it supports; Arleen Baez is truly deserving
of this prestigious award; and
WHEREAS, Since 1914, HeartShare Human Services of New York has
strived to improve the lives of people in need of special services and
support; this vital non-profit organization helps individuals develop to
their fullest potential and lead meaningful and enriched lives in the
community; and
WHEREAS, For over 33 years, Arleen Baez has enjoyed a successful
career in the financial industry; for over two decades, she served as
Director/Head of Operations at Credit Suisse Asset Management; she then
held the position of Senior Vice President/Head of Retail and
Institutional Operations at Allianz Global Investors; and
WHEREAS, In 2008, Arleen Baez joined Alpine Woods Capital Investors,
an independent asset manager specializing in global real estate
securities, tax optimized income investing, distinctly structured equity
income products, and innovative thematic funds; currently, she holds the
esteemed title of both Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Arleen Baez upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the HeartShare Visionary Award by HeartShare Human Services of New York;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Arleen Baez.
