HONORING Rick Rakow upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Food Bank
for Westchester on April 13, 2018
WHEREAS, The State of New York takes great pride in acknowledging
its esteemed citizens who have distinguished themselves in their
community; and
WHEREAS, Rick Rakow will be recognized by the Food Bank for
Westchester during its Spring Gala to be held at the Tappan Hill Mansion
on April 13, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Rick Rakow opened one of the region's first commercial real
estate companies focused on the needs of tenants and now runs the
largest tenant advocacy firms in the region; and
WHEREAS, Rakow Commercial Realty Group handles assignments
throughout the United States and in Vancouver; along with tenant
advocacy for large firms, local firms, and law firms, Rakow Commercial
Realty Group has also represented landlords; and
WHEREAS, Rick Rakow has served on the Board of the Food Bank for
Westchester since 2000, including serving as Chairman from 2011 until
2015; and
WHEREAS, Rick Rakow has also contributed his time to the March of
Dimes, serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Westchester
Division for three years and as chair of many special events committees;
and
WHEREAS, Rick Rakow has also served in leadership positions for the
American Heart Association, the Business Council of Westchester, and the
Westchester County Association; and
WHEREAS, Rick Rakow is a tremendous asset to the Food Bank for
Westchester and to his entire community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Rick Rakow upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Food Bank for Westchester; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Rick Rakow.
