HONORING Debbie Langiulli upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by Fontbonne
Hall Academy on April 21, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Debbie Langiulli upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by Fontbonne Hall Academy, to be celebrated at its Diamonds
and Pearls 80th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the El
Caribe Country Club, Brooklyn, New York; and

WHEREAS, Born in Brooklyn, New York, Debbie Langiulli grew up in Our
Lady of Guadalupe Parish and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe elementary
school; and

WHEREAS, Debbie Langiulli is a 1967 graduate of Fontbonne Hall
Academy, where she served as Freshman Class President, directed the
musical "Bye Bye Birdie," and was a member of the school's Debate Team;
and

WHEREAS, After earning a degree in American History from the
University of Miami, Debbie Langiulli began her illustrious career in
1975, at American Express, working for the Treasurer, where she was
trained in a new business called Securities Lending; and

WHEREAS, In 1979, Debbie Langiulli began a new position as Vice
President of Allen & Company before moving on to Spear Leeds & Kellogg;
and

WHEREAS, Debbie Langiulli became Director of Corporate Repo at
Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in 1986; in 2001, the company was bought by
Credit-Suisse, where she has remained for the last 17 years; and

WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Philip, one
daughter, Vanessa, and two step-sons, Chris and Paul, as well as eight
grandchildren, all of whom have shown her love and support and rejoice
in her many achievements; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Debbie Langiulli has
displayed throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Debbie Langiulli upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by Fontbonne Hall Academy on April 21, 2018; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Debbie Langiulli.
