Senate Resolution No. 4739

COMMENDING Brown & Randall upon the occasion of
being named a 2018 Golden Anniversary honoree by the
Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and companies which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Brown & Randall upon the occasion of being named a 2018 Golden
Anniversary honoree by the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce to be
celebrated at its 50th Anniversary Membership Meeting and Luncheon on
Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Francesca's Banquet Hall, Ilion, New York;
and

WHEREAS, In 1936, Earl Randall started the business as an auto body
repair shop; in 1968, Robert F. Brown purchased the shop which is now
located on Route 5 in East Herkimer, New York; and

WHEREAS, In 1990, Bob Brown, the son of Robert F. Brown, took over
the business serving as president; currently, the facility is over
10,000 square feet and has six full time employees; and

WHEREAS, Today, Brown & Randall is upstate New York's most
diversified auto body and welding supplier; in addition, the shop sells,
recharges and services fire extinguisher, auto glass, and industrial
gases, including oxygen, acetylene, argon and helium; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling achievements it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Brown & Randall upon the occasion of being named a 2018 Golden
Anniversary honoree by the Herkimer County Chamber of Commerce; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Brown & Randall.
