HONORING Eugene P. Hayes upon the occasion of his
retirement after more than 31 years of distinguished
service as Public Works Superintendent to the City
of Watertown
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Eugene P. Hayes upon the occasion of his retirement after more than 31
years of distinguished service as Public Works Superintendent to the
City of Watertown; he will officially retire on June 15, 2018; and
WHEREAS, A native of Sackets Harbor, Eugene P. Hayes began his
career with the Watertown Public Works Department in 1986, after a 10
year career as a mechanical engineer for a Texas oil company; and
WHEREAS, His knowledge, his dedication to helping Watertown city
residents, and his measured approach to problem solving have earned him
the respect of his co-workers and his community; and
WHEREAS, Eugene P. Hayes has clearly had an enduring impact on his
community and accordingly merits recognition and applause for his
impressive dedication to others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support their communities by
providing their skills and talents to helping others; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Eugene P. Hayes upon the occasion of his retirement after more
than 31 years of distinguished service as Public Works Superintendent to
the City of Watertown, and to wish him continued success in all his
future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Eugene P. Hayes.
