HONORING Great Lakes Orthodontics Inc. upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of the
Innovation Award by Buffalo Business First on May
15, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those businesses which substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to
honor Great Lakes Orthodontics Inc. upon the occasion of its designation
as recipient of the Innovation Award by Buffalo Business First to be
celebrated at its 2018 Manufacturing Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15,
2018, at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew, New York; and

WHEREAS, Great Lakes Orthodontics offers an extensive line of
products, laboratory services and appliance fabrication training,
primarily to the orthodontic, prosthodontic, and restorative dental
professions; the company is the only full line provider of Digital
Orthodontic equipment, including Intraoral Scanners, 3D Printers as well
as digital and printed model services; and

WHEREAS, Located in Tonawanda, a suburb of Buffalo, New York, Great
Lakes Orthodontics is an employee-run company which is dedicated to
pleasing not only its customers, but also its employee members; and

WHEREAS, The success of Great Lakes Orthodontics is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its 250 staff members, whose involvement
is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the institution and the community it serves;
and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Great Lakes Orthodontics Inc. upon the occasion of its designation
as recipient of the Innovation Award by Buffalo Business First on May
15, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Great Lakes Orthodontics Inc.
