Senate Resolution No. 4929

HONORING Tayla Bunn upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the National
Association of Negro Business and Professional
Women's Clubs, Inc.
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, honoring the youth of today, and
leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements best exemplify the
ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Tayla Bunn upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
by the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's
Clubs, Inc., to be celebrated at its 51st Annual Founders' Day
Observance, "Empowering Communities and Shaping Lives," on Saturday,
April 28, 2018, at Gargiulo's Restaurant, Brooklyn, New York; and
WHEREAS, Tayla Bunn is the recipient of the National Association of
Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs' College Scholarship in
recognition of her numerous accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, A student at Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science
for Young Women, Tayla Bunn is steadfastly committed to her studies; she
interned at J.P. Morgan Chase, where she gained experience analyzing
stocks; and
WHEREAS, In addition, she attended a semester at New York University
Tandon School of Engineering and completed a Law course at CUNY City
Tech; and
WHEREAS, Tayla Bunn plans to continue her education to earn a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration as well as a Juris
Doctor degree; and
WHEREAS, As Tayla Bunn takes her leave of Urban Assembly Institute
of Math and Science for Young Women, she bequeaths a legacy of academic
achievement, school involvement and community service to which others
may aspire; and
WHEREAS, Tayla Bunn stands poised on the threshold of a broad and
challenging world; a testament to the love and nurturing care of her
family, friends and school; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is moved to honor Tayla Bunn, a young
woman and able scholar, recognizing the value of her labors and the
promise of her future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Tayla Bunn upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the National Association of Negro Business and
Professional Women's Clubs, Inc.; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Tayla Bunn.
