HONORING Kenneth Raymond upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Third Age
Achievement Award for Business by the Senior
Services of Albany

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Kenneth Raymond upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Third Age Achievement Award for Business by the Senior Services of
Albany, to be celebrated at its 22nd Annual Awards Luncheon on Friday,
May 18, 2018, at Wolferts Roost Country Club, Albany, New York; and

WHEREAS, Each year, this auspicious event recognizes the
contributions that area residents and professionals have made in their
communities during the Third Age of their lives; Kenneth Raymond will
receive this award for his valuable achievements and devoted service to
his community after the age of 60; and

WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of the Capital Region, Kenneth Raymond
has been involved in many entrepreneurial endeavors in the areas of
finance, hospitality and real estate over his successful career; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Raymond is the founder and CEO of Prime Companies
and the Broker/Co-Owner of both Coldwell Banker/Prime Properties
residential and commercial real estate companies, which are two of the
largest real estate franchise operations in New York State; and

WHEREAS, Additionally, he founded a registered mortgage banker
operation, Home Funding Finders, Inc., where from start-up as President
and CEO, he grew the business to more than 125 employees, until it was
sold in 2010; and

WHEREAS, In the hospitality business for over 40 years, Kenneth
Raymond has developed successful partnerships with national hotel
franchisors such as Holiday Inn Express, Hilton and Hotel Indigo, to
develop, own and operate successful hotels throughout upstate New York;
and

WHEREAS, Furthermore, in real estate, Kenneth Raymond has grown the
residential Coldwell Banker/Prime Properties business over the past 30
years to more than 500 employees and agents; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to the Capital
Region community, Kenneth Raymond is a member of the Executive Committee
of the Board of Trustees at Siena College, as well as a member of the
Board of Trustees at Paul Smith's College; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Raymond serves as Vice President of the Board of
Trustees for Catholic Charities, and is Board Member for the Boys &
Girls Club; he is also active with Coaches vs. Cancer which raises funds
for cancer research, and countless other local organizations; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Kenneth Raymond, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kenneth Raymond upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the Third Age Achievement Award for Business by the Senior Services
of Albany; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kenneth Raymond.
