HONORING Margaret L. Luty upon the occasion of her
retirement after 31 years of distinguished service
to Sullivan West Central School District

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
the significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed
residents of this noble Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Margaret L. Luty upon the occasion of her retirement after 31 years of
distinguished service to Sullivan West Central School District; and

WHEREAS, Margaret L. Luty began her illustrious career as Secretary
to the Superintendent at Sullivan West Central School District on July
1, 1987; in addition to serving in this esteemed capacity, she has
served as District Clerk since January 17, 1992; and

WHEREAS, For more than three decades, Margaret L. Luty rendered
faithful, conscientious and valuable service to Sullivan West Central
School District, earning the admiration, esteem and affection of her
colleagues; and

WHEREAS, In her capacity as Secretary to the Superintendent and
District Clerk, Margaret L. Luty served with loyalty, honor and
distinction, and was governed by a keen sense of duty and always showed
a unique grasp of human problems in her official acts; and

WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Steve, and their
two children, Bradley and Tera, who have all shown her love and support
and rejoice in her many achievements; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the occurrence of such a compassionate
blending of strength, leadership, intellect, and commitment as that
demonstrated by Margaret L. Luty over a lifetime of sacrifice and
dedication to others; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Margaret L. Luty upon the occasion of her retirement after 31
years of distinguished service to Sullivan West Central School District;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Margaret L. Luty.
