COMMENDING New American Voters Association upon
the occasion of hosting its 11th Annual Dinner Dance
on Sunday, May 6, 2018
WHEREAS, Organizations which serve the interests of the people of
this Empire State merit the commendation of this Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend New
American Voters Association upon the occasion of hosting its 11th Annual
Dinner Dance on Sunday, May 6, 2018; and
WHEREAS, As part of executing its mission, the New American Voters
Association (NAVA) organizes voters on line, for the sole purpose of
asking their two U. S. Senators and their U. S. Representative to
explain and answer questions, on line, about the financial fairness to
America's children of their decisions and to do so on a continual and
timely basis; membership is free; and
WHEREAS, NAVA has served the interests of the people of the Empire
State by organizing voters on line for many years; and
WHEREAS, This occasion presents an opportunity for this Legislative
Body to recognize and pay tribute to NAVA and the vital services it
provides for voters throughout this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, In so effectively carrying out its mission, NAVA has
demonstrated the importance of being able to ask the people who
represent you vital questions regarding the well-being of our State and
Nation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend New American Voters Association upon the occasion of hosting its
11th Annual Dinner Dance on Sunday, May 6, 2018; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to NAVA.
