HONORING Julio Garaicoechea upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of a Young
Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Julio Garaicoechea upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
a Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat; and

WHEREAS, Julio Garaicoechea was selected for this esteemed honor in
recognition of his hard work, ambition, and creativity, as well as for
his profound impact in and around the community of Sullivan County; and

WHEREAS, Upon graduating from Eldred Central School, Julio
Garaicoechea attended Hunter College, eventually earning a master's
degree in economics in 2012; and

WHEREAS, After six years of living in New York City, Julio
Garaicoechea returned to his hometown in the Catskills, and began
working as the business manager for NACL Theatre in Highland Lake, New
York; and

WHEREAS, Julio Garaicoechea also serves as President of the NACL
Board; in this capacity, he works with his fellow board members to help
develop programming and overall themes for the theatre; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his work with NACL Theatre, Julio
Garaicoechea holds the title of Project Manager for Sullivan County
Industrial Development Agency (IDA) which diligently works to promote
economic welfare, recreation opportunities, prevent unemployment and
economic deterioration, ensure the prosperity of Sullivan County's
inhabitants, and promote tourism and trade; and

WHEREAS, Julio Garaicoechea takes great pride in his work and truly
enjoys serving as a resource for people, and being a part of policy
making which affects the citizens of Sullivan County; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Julio Garaicoechea upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of a Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County
Democrat; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Julio Garaicoechea.
