HONORING Melissa Hahl upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of a Young Professionals
Award by the Sullivan County Democrat
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Melissa Hahl upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of a
Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat; and
WHEREAS, Melissa Hahl was selected for this esteemed honor in
recognition of her hard work, ambition, and creativity, as well as for
her profound impact in and around the community of Sullivan County; and
WHEREAS, After graduating from Sullivan West High School, Melissa
Hahl studied small business management at Herkimer County Community
College, in hopes of one day owning her own salon; and
WHEREAS, Since she was a young child, Melissa Hahl has always been
interested in cosmetology; while attending high school, she was a
student at BOCES, where she earned her cosmetology certification; ever
since, Melissa has been styling, cutting and coloring hair; and
WHEREAS, Melissa Hahl's dreams came to fruition in 2014; for the
last four years, she has owned and operated Stunning Styles, a thriving
salon on State Route 52 in Jeffersonville, New York; always eager to
keep up with the latest trends and products, she is currently attending
classes at cosmetology school; and
WHEREAS, Melissa Hahl is well-known for not only her cosmetology
skills, but also her generosity; she participated in the Annual St.
Baldrick's Event which helps fight childhood cancer, and each October,
she helps raise money for Ride2Survive; and
WHEREAS, When she is not working or attending classes, Melissa Hahl
enjoys travelling, watching movies with friends, and spending time with
her boyfriend; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Melissa Hahl upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
a Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Melissa Hahl.
