HONORING Darrin Raynor upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of a Young Professionals
Award by the Sullivan County Democrat

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young adults within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Darrin Raynor upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a
Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat; and

WHEREAS, Darrin Raynor was selected for this esteemed honor in
recognition of his hard work, ambition, and creativity, as well as for
his profound impact in and around the community of Sullivan County; and

WHEREAS, A graduate of Monticello High School, Darrin Raynor began
his career working for non-profit organizations such as Sullivan ARC,
New Hope Community and the Delaware Valley Job Corps; he then
transitioned to government administration; and

WHEREAS, For over a year, Darrin Raynor has served as Deputy
Commissioner of Management and Budget for the Sullivan County
Legislature; and

WHEREAS, Darrin Raynor soon became the Employee Coordinator for the
County's Wellness Committee; in this capacity, he works with his team to
encourage others to lead healthier and more productive lives; under his
luminous leadership, the Wellness Committee has partnered with local
organizations to arrange walking groups and other active events on the
weekends; and

WHEREAS, Darrin Raynor also helped organize Know your Numbers with
the American Heart Association to offer basic testing services to county
employees, who are also taught how to keep track of their cholesterol,
weight and blood sugar levels; and

WHEREAS, When he is not working or helping someone, Darrin Raynor
enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it is coaching AYSO Soccer or
Little League Baseball, or playing in a golf league; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, and their three
sons, all of whom have shown him love and support and rejoice in his
many achievements; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Darrin Raynor upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
a Young Professionals Award by the Sullivan County Democrat; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Darrin Raynor.
