HONORING Camille Hondromaras upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association
as a 2018 Senior Scholar-Athlete
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its
young citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and
accomplishments exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great
State and Nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Camille
Hondromaras upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2018
Senior Scholar-Athlete; this momentous occasion was celebrated with a
Breakfast on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Kuhl's Highland House,
Middletown, New York; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Camille Hondromaras has
distinguished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent,
and maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement,
purposefulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful
years; and
WHEREAS, A student at Roscoe Central School, Camille Hondromaras has
a 88.02 GPA and is ranked 7th in her class; she is a member of the
Junior Honor Society, has achieved honor roll many times, and served as
the President of her senior class; and
WHEREAS, An exceptional athlete, Camille Hondromaras was the Captain
of her basketball team and a member of both the BCANY All-Section 9 Team
and the Margaretville All-Tournament Team; and
WHEREAS, After graduating from high school, Camille Hondromaras
plans to major in public health at SUNY Sullivan; she then hopes to
transfer to Misericordia University where she will study ultrasound
technology; and
WHEREAS, Camille Hondromaras gives tirelessly of her time and
energies volunteering at the local food pantry, Kiwanis dinner and other
activities, various church functions and events, and on Saturdays, she
assisted with the youth basketball program; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Camille
Hondromaras has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Camille Hondromaras may stand with pride in her
achievements, experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of
her accomplishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as
she continues her education; and
WHEREAS, Camille Hondromaras represents the potential inherent in
our most precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased
to honor this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise
of her future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Camille Hondromaras upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic
Association as a 2018 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish her well in
her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Camille Hondromaras.
