HONORING Merry Wokasien upon the occasion of her
retirement after 26 years of distinguished service
to Holy Cross Head Start, Inc.
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, For the past 26 years, Merry Wokasien rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to Holy Cross Head Start, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, In her capacity as Facilities Manager, a position from
which she will retire from, on February 6, 2017, Merry Wokasien served
with loyalty, honor and distinction; and
WHEREAS, In her official acts, Merry Wokasien was governed by a keen
sense of duty and always showed a unique grasp of human problems; and
WHEREAS, During her tenure with Holy Cross Head Start, Inc., Merry
Wokasien earned the admiration, esteem and affection of her colleagues;
and
WHEREAS, An asset to Holy Cross Head Start, Inc., Merry Wokasien
will be greatly missed by all she worked with; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Merry Wokasien upon the occasion of her retirement after 26 years
of distinguished service to Holy Cross Head Start, Inc.; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Merry Wokasien.
