HONORING Michael Sarah upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Lifesaver Award by
the Town of Tonawanda Police Club on February 10,
2017

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Michael
Sarah upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Lifesaver
Award by the Town of Tonawanda Police Club celebrated at a dinner held
on Friday, February 10, 2017, at the Classics Five Banquet and
Conference Center in Amherst, New York; and

WHEREAS, In his spontaneous and heroic actions, Michael Sarah
demonstrated his character and compassion for the welfare of others,
personifying by virtue his action, the collective concern of the
citizens of Tonawanda and across the community of the State of New York;
and

WHEREAS, Individuals such as Michael Sarah, devoted to improving the
quality of life for others, enabling them to build lives of dignity and
self-worth, are deserving of the highest praise and recognition; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Michael Sarah upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Lifesaver Award by the Town of Tonawanda Police Club on February 10,
2017; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Michael Sarah.
