HONORING Dennis Penman upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Communities of
Excellence Award by the Buffalo Niagara Association
of Realtors

WHEREAS, A great community is only as great as those persons and
organizations that provide exemplary service, whether through
participation in voluntary programs, through unique personal achievement
in their profession, or simply through a lifetime of good citizenship;
and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
organizations and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dennis Penman upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
Communities of Excellence Award by the Buffalo Niagara Association of
Realtors, celebrated at its Inaugural Event held in January of 2017, at
the Brookfield Country Club, Clarence, New York; and

WHEREAS, Within every community, there are inevitably some
individuals who, by virtue of their energy, vision, and dedication,
command the greatest respect among their friends and colleagues, and
within the community at large; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Penman is being honored with this auspicious award
in recognition of his steadfast and unwavering dedication to improving
the quality of life in Western New York; and

WHEREAS, A resident of Orchard Park, New York, Dennis Penman is an
employee of Morgan Ventures, LLC; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Penman has more than 40 years of experience in the
real estate industry in a variety of public and private-sector
capacities; and

WHEREAS, A graduate of the University at Buffalo and the Institute
of Real Estate Management, Dennis Penman joined the MJ Peterson Real
Estate Corporation in 1980, serving as an executive vice president and
chief operating officer; and

WHEREAS, During this time, Dennis Penman oversaw numerous
developments, including more than 700 homes on Buffalo's East and West
sides; and

WHEREAS, In 2012, Dennis Penman moved to the Ciminelli Real Estate
Corporation, where he served as an executive vice president and
principal while continuing to administer new developments throughout the
region; and


WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Dennis Penman, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dennis Penman upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Communities of Excellence Award by the Buffalo Niagara Association
of Realtors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dennis Penman.
