HONORING Andrea Feeney upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Adult Youth Worker
Award by the Genesee County & Batavia Youth Boards

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Andrea Feeney upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Adult Youth Worker Award by the Genesee County & Batavia Youth Boards,
to be celebrated at its Youth Recognition Banquet on Thursday, March 30,
2017, at Terry Hills Restaurant & Banquet Facility, Batavia, New York;
and

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, As a knowledgeable and highly skilled counselor, Andrea
Feeney provides security and a sense of reliability to the children she
works with at Byron-Benson High School; and

WHEREAS, Andrea Feeney's hard work and professional manner of
counseling has left a profound impact on her students; she has given
tirelessly of her time, skill and enthusiasm to improving the quality of
life of the children with whom she works; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to her students,
Andrea Feeney was instrumental in the establishment of a Builders Club
at Byron-Bergen High School; this vital program, run through Kiwanis,
gets children involved in community service; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her distinguished career, Andrea Feeney has
continuously shown a clear understanding of the breadth of her role in
shaping the futures of the children entrusted to her care; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Andrea Feeney has displayed
throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Andrea Feeney, that future generations may know and appreciate her
admirable character, her many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which she is held by her peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Andrea Feeney upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Adult Youth Worker Award by the Genesee County & Batavia Youth
Boards; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Andrea Feeney.
