HONORING Arthur L. Aidala upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the
Federation of Italian-American Organizations of
Brooklyn, Ltd. on March 26, 2017
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Arthur L. Aidala upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Federation of Italian-American Organizations of
Brooklyn, Ltd. to be celebrated at its 40th Annual Gala on Sunday, March
26, 2017; and
WHEREAS, The Federation of Italian-American Organizations of
Brooklyn, Ltd. (FIAO) is a community based organization assisting
individuals and families in the Italian-American community; and
WHEREAS, Arthur L. Aidala is the Managing Partner at Aidala, Bertuna
& Kamins, P.C., a law firm specializing in civil and criminal
litigation; and
WHEREAS, A former Senior Assistant District Attorney, Arthur L.
Aidala has tried several high profile cases, most notably the successful
defense of football great Lawrence Taylor; and
WHEREAS, Arthur L. Aidala has been the Fox News Channel's Legal
Analyst for the past decade, commenting on current legal issues
including reporting live on the U.S. Supreme Court's latest decisions
and breaking legal news; and
WHEREAS, In addition, his legal commentary can be heard regularly on
the Imus in the Morning radio program, the Joe Piscopo Show, the Geraldo
Rivera Show and the John Gambling Show; and
WHEREAS, Arthur L. Aidala lectures regularly to the Trial Advocacy
students at Fordham Law School, Brooklyn Law School and St. John's
School of Law; he has also lectured at the New York City Bar
Association, the Kings County Criminal Bar Association, and Harvard Law
School; and
WHEREAS, Immediate Past-President of the Brooklyn Bar Association,
Arthur L. Aidala is a Past-President of the Columbian Lawyers
Association, First Judicial Department; he is a member of the House of
Delegates to the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar
Association; and
WHEREAS, Additionally, this esteemed man holds the position of Vice
President of the Kings County Criminal Bar Association and is on the
Board of Directors of the Brooklyn Bar Association; he is also a member
of the Confederation of Columbian Lawyers, the Bay Ridge Lawyers
Association, the New York Criminal Bar Association, the legal advisor to
the Neighborhood Improvement Association and the Pro Bono Legal Advisor
to the Detective Rafael Ramos Foundation; and
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Arthur L. Aidala upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Federation of Italian-American Organizations of
Brooklyn, Ltd. on March 26, 2017; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Arthur L. Aidala.
